UKACT Management Skills Workshop

Surrounding yourself with an effective team is a crucial key to long-term success. However, team effectiveness is too often left to chance, leading to demotivated and isolated individuals who inevitably underperform. This course helps you to understand the role of leader from your own perspective and that of your team. You’ll also develop new insights into what it takes to lead an effective team and how to get the best from team members. 

The programme is ideal for anyone who leads a team or has a leadership or management role. It is also useful for aspiring leaders or those who want to develop their leadership skills further. 

Content will include topics such as the key characteristics of effective leaders, making the organisation’s vision ‘live’ for the team, understanding motivation, strategiesfor managing difficult behaviour and making the transition from team member to leader.

By the end of the workshop, participants will :

• Benchmark yourself against these qualities and plan actionsfor improvement 
• Understand the value of sharing the vision with the team and use it to develop team goals
